Will You Marry Me?

I knew it was coming. Patrick and I have dated for almost two years  and had discussed marriage before. So when the subject of diamonds came up around Christmas he told me to send him pictures of what I liked and didn't like. Like with any decision he likes to think things through and do his research before buying something but in this case he needed the options narrowed some. You see, I don't particularly care for Past, Present, Future settings for engagement rings and I didn't want a solitaire. He wouldn't have known that if I hadn't told him. So I set about finding some images of what I had in mind and sent them to him. Well, as I said before, I knew it was coming. I just didn't know when. I found out on March 11, 2011 when he handed me a scrapbook that he had made for my birthday. Yes, that's right, he made me a scrapbook! And did a fantastic job with it if I may say so myself. So, I sat down on the couch and started to look through it and I was amazed at how beautifully done it was. It detailed in pictures just a few of our adventures over the past couple years and at the end was the question itself. Will You Marry Me? Well, obviously I said YES! I was amazingly jittery at that point and it took me a few moments to realize that he had been kneeling at my side on one knee the entire time. When we were talking later that night I found out that he had had the diamond for almost a month and it was hidden in practically plain view. I guess I really am blind. But I don't have any problem staring at my ring for hours now though. It's gorgeous and I think I may just be one of the luckiest women in the world.
